leimbi and the power of the collective spirit

Leimbi, in Leimbach, Zurich :

Creativity has many reasons and seasons, the process of creation is often enough more enjoyable to artists than the result .This atelier space above is one such a collective hub, I dont mean that there isnt great output from here , but meeting artists here like Goran Galic, Anna Estrika, Rafael Hefti , Fabio Marco Pirovino and getting to be bought here by another artist the musician Ernst Scholl has bought in me a belief that when creative minds gel together wonders can be made, these spaces here reflect a working culture amongst minds that i think should be replicated across the planet, Of a lot of interesting work i saw here were works by Goran who has been photographing the Serbian Bosnian conflict and another work the collectice is doing is on the needless bureacracy sometimes found in the EU, the subject is a parallel to the state of India.
Being invited to a slew of Show openings and being able to talk to people like Epsther Epstein and Andrea .... has grown in me seeds to do a show someplace on the parallels of societies in terms of gender and other things that i want to work with, for now though i have found collaborators willing to do music for the Mysore project, writers willing to write about culture, photographers willing to do the base photography, Architects and design students talking about design possibilities.

Collaborations rule the order of my days. !
